FSC®-Certified Timber Supply Service

We provide a stable supply of FSC®-certified timber, from structural materials to interior finishes and fittings.
At present, we have established a system capable of supporting the equivalent of approximately 300 houses,
making it possible to construct entire buildings using only FSC®-certified wood.
Our vision is to build a future where FSC®-certified timber becomes
the natural choice—not a market driven by short-term profit and mass production of cheap wood,
but one in which forests remain healthy and people enjoy richer lives surrounded by trees.
Whether you are looking to use FSC®-certified timber in your next project
or simply want to know more about what FSC® means, please feel free to reach out to us.

Forest Stewardship Council®

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international non-profit organization that promotes responsible forest management. FSC® certification includes two types: Forest Management (FM) certification, which evaluates the management of the forests themselves, and Chain of Custody (COC) certification, which ensures traceability throughout the processing and distribution of harvested timber. Together, these systems support the sustainable use of wood that takes the environment and local communities into consideration.

※1 What is COC Certification COC (Chain of Custody) certification is a system that verifies that forest-certified products are properly managed through certified supply chains, from raw material procurement to manufacturing, distribution, and sales. It supports sustainable forest management and is part of international certification systems such as FSC® and PEFC. Certification is not issued directly by FSC®, but rather provided by independent third-party certification bodies accredited by FSC®. A-Zero Group (then Nishiawakura Forest School Co., Ltd.) obtained FSC® certification. (FSC® Certification SA-COC-003741 / License Code FSC®-C068055)

※2 What is FM-Certified Forest FM (Forest Management) certification is granted to forests that are recognized as being properly managed with consideration for the environment and local communities. International forest certification systems such as FSC® and PEFC conduct assessments through accredited certification bodies to determine whether a forest is “sustainably managed.” Timber harvested from these forests is distributed as a legal and reliable resource. Nishiawakura Village’s FM certification was obtained through assessments by an independent third-party certification body accredited by FSC®.

A-Zero Group and FSC®

Since 2009, when our predecessor Nishiawakura Forest School Co., Ltd. obtained FSC® Chain of Custody (COC) certification, we have built a system to source timber from FSC®-certified Forest Management (FM) areas owned by Nishiawakura Village and to provide FSC®-certified products to the market.
